A.R.T. aka Active Release Technique

After suffering for nearly a year with what I thought was a form of tennis elbow I finally got some help last week and sought out the advice of a professional to help improve my injury. It was never anything too serious, nothing that stopped me from training but after seeing it get progressively worse over the past few months and start to stop me find my full potential on olympic lifts I went to see an A.R.T specialist. A.R.T stands for Active Release Techniques and strives to provide the highest standard of treatment for a number of soft-tissue, ligament, tendon, fascia, and nerve issues and injuries. It is the only provider of Active Release Technique (A.R.T.) in Wales.

Who Can Benefit From A.R.T.?
Anyone who suffers from any type of repetitive strain injury – from the athlete, to the office worker, to the home keeper -can be helped by treatments with active release techniques. Even if this problem has not responded to other forms of treatment. In addition ART is an effective tool for improving athletic performance.
ART should be your first choice if you have any type of repetitive strain injury since it is able to resolve the majority of these cases without the use of invasive techniques like surgery, and can do so with almost no side effects (aside from a temporary tenderness of the soft tissue).

In only 4 sessions with Joseph I have had a decrease in pain in my elbow and increased range of movement, I’ve been able to front squat, squat clean and move in day to day life much easier and I’ve only been seeing him a little over a week. I know what your thinking…pretty cool huh?! I look forward to even more progress and strive to “get my elbows all the way up” on front squats in the weeks and months to come. If your suffering from an injury and are as stubborn as I was it might be worth you going to see him to help you out.
